How long will it take to complete the course?
The Industrial Electrical Technician Program includes 300 total hours of coursework divided among 13 specialized courses. Full time students can expect to complete the program within five to six months by attending classes Monday-Thursday from 4:30-8:45pm.
What type of job will I be qualified to perform after graduation?
Graduates of NTT College of Skilled Trades are qualified to obtain entry-level positions in the high demand industrial electricity industry. We offer all graduates job placement assistance to help secure the initial job; however, we cannot guarantee employment.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, median hourly wages of electrical and electronics repairers, commercial and industrial equipment were $23.29 in May 2008. The middle 50 percent earned between $18.40 and $28.73. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $14.39, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $33.81. How much does the Industrial Electrical Technician program cost?
Tuition for the program is $10,000. Books and supplies are an additional $500. There is also a $25 fee due upon registration.
Is financial aid available?
NTT College of Skilled Trades offers every student our 50/50 Commitment . This unique program requires that you pay the first 50% of your tuition before you begin the program and then allows you to defer the last 50% of your tuition until after you have secured a job.
Program graduates may defer repayment of the loan by verifying that their best efforts have not resulted in employment as an industrial electrical technician or other jobs advertised as viable for graduates of NTT?s program in Industrial Electricity.
Other options include possible support from the Workforce Investment Act, depending on several factors including the county of residence; and applying for gap financing.

What is the experience level of the instructors?
Instructors at NTT College of Skilled Trades have an average of 25 years of experience in the complex industrial electrical industry. Our field expert instructors continually help shape the focus of our courses so you can be assured you are learning the most current and relevant subject matter.
Will I get any hands-on experience during the program?
Yes. We firmly believe that students become more confident and proficient in this specialized field when they move beyond the books to put their new knowledge to action. Extensive lab time is incorporated into more than half of the courses for hands-on experience in real-life situations. Many of our courses utilize training equipment that was specially designed by NTT College of Skilled Trades.
What happens if I cannot meet the start date of the program or have to withdraw from the program?
If circumstances prohibit you from starting the program as planned, you can postpone your start date by entering into a written agreement with NTT College of Skilled Trades. You will only be able to postpone your start date one time.
If you must withdraw from the program, you will be entitled to a refund that is based upon the amount of the program you have completed:
- 90% refund if withdrawal occurs within the first 10% of the program
- 75% refund if withdrawal occurs between 10%-25% of the program
- 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between 25%-50% of the program
- 25% refund if withdrawal occurs between 50%-75% of the program
- No refund if withdrawal occurs after 75% of the program
A maximum cancellation charge of $150 is also charged for program withdrawals.
