NTT College of Skilled Trades

Industrial Electrical Technician Courses

Programmable Logic Controllers

The class introduces common industry Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) applications using lab exercises to simulate real world automated machinery control. NTT uses Allen Bradley Controllers and Allen Bradley RSLogix500 software. Students will learn how PLCs can control machines and how hardwired systems can be upgraded to PLC controlled systems. Topics covered include data memory, scanning, introduction to programming, relay instructions, software navigating and documenting program correctly. In addition, timers, counters, registers and register type instructions will be reviewed in this class. Analog systems will be introduced.
