Industrial Electricity: Basics and Troubleshooting
This hands-on course has been designed to teach the basic nature of electricity in the workplace. Theory is explained in simple, easy-to-understand terms without complex mathematical equations. Key concepts are reinforced with practical hands-on activities. This gives students a firsthand feel for real-world applications. Students will gain valuable experience using electricity in an industrial setting and will understand its function in an electrical circuit. Electrical safe work practices will be reviewed in detail while working on or near energized equipment and when using meters. The course covers all aspects of electricity, including Ohm’s law, terminology, common circuits, test equipment, safety, generators, motors and relays. Theory and explanations support numerous practical hands-on exercises, and can apply to real world situations.
